About Anthea

My love for exploration began as a child in Cape Town, where I always saw the Winelands as an exotic local treasure. After almost 30 years of satisfying my travel curiosity across Europe, Middle East & Far East, I returned home in 2021 with a deepened passion for our beautiful wine region. This passion was so strong that I completed a formal tourism course to better share its magic with you.

Now with the Cape Blend Experience, I combine my global perspective with my local love to create unforgettable tours. My mission is simple, to show you the breathtaking beauty, rich history, and world-class wines of our Winelands. I now specialize in crafting unique tours – from art & wine to music and food pairings – that reveal the true soul of the Winelands. As a female solo traveller who decided on a last minute whim to travel to Cape Town, I was truly so thankful to have Anthea's expertise. She curated an itinerary for me that went above and beyond. She is a great listener and really cares about her client’s experience in her own home country. I shared with Anthea that I wasn’t keen on the typical tourist trails and that I would much rather experience smaller, more boutique hotels, B&B’s and wine estates. Communication was effortless. In just 7 days I was able to visit much of the beautiful Western Cape, but at a leisurely pace. Anthea helped me book all hotels, car hires, restaurants & wine estates and even gave suggestions for an itinerary switch when the weather didn’t cooperate.

Anthea helped us put together a two-week itinerary around the Western Cape with stops in Cape Town and the Cape Winelands. She met us at the airport and accompanied us for parts of the trip. She is knowledgeable, charming and incredibly helpful. She introduced us to people and locations that we would never have found on our own. We had a fabulous trip and would love to go back.
